The Discovery Phase of the Centralis Methodology involves gaining a detailed understanding of the customer’s requirements, reasons for engaging in the project and the measures by which success will be judged. This is essential to ensure that the project meets the customers objectives and delivers the intended results. The Discovery Phase concludes with a written report and presentation to the customer sponsor covering some or all of the following elements, which are detailed below:
The Analysis Phase concludes with a written report and presentation to the customer sponsor covering some or all of the following elements, which are detailed below:

The Design Phase is used to create a detailed design document which sets out the not only the proposed architecture itself but the key decision points and justifications which have led to that particular design being proposed. Within the Design Phase Centralis will typically carry out detailed profiling of applications, users & access scenarios to gather information about the critical applications and the work scenarios in which they are / will be used. The detailed information will be used during Design Validation to create production-quality documented installations. Within the Design Phase, a detailed design document will be created based on best practice guidelines and the information gathered in the Discovery & Analysis Phases. The Design elements would typically include:
In the Design Validation Phase, a pre-production delivery environment will be created, based on the Design. The purpose of the Design Validation Phase is to create a full production quality environment, ready for Pilot user testing, delivering an agreed set of applications, deployed using the recommended methodology. The Design Validation Phase elements are:

In the Pilot Phase Centralis commence the production roll-out by giving access to a defined group of users who will test the production environment. Typically this will be a department or location who require access only to the Critical Applications (or any additional applications where scripted during this or the previous Phase). These Pilot users will provide feedback on usability, user migration, performance and desktop configuration and generate information on integration, scaling and resilience through testing. Centralis will carry out and document scripted application installs for an agreed set of applications using the appropriate deployment methodology and load evaluation software. Significant user input would be expected at this stage through User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to give realistic figures for load and compatibility under normal and “power user” conditions. During these test Centralis will monitor the environment to generate performance, scalability and load testing, simulating the environment under production stress. based on the findings, Centralis will finalise the design document and server build documentation.
Once the Pilot Phase is completed, Centralis will work with the customer’s staff to Deploy the production architecture. With the move to the production environment, Centralis would recommend assigning the Design environment as a Development and UAT environment. The Deployment Phase elements are typically:
The final Phase of the Centralis Methodology covers ongoing management, maintenance and support of the environment. Varying levels of support are required, typically provided by a combination of in-house staff and external support contracts. Centralis provides a range of support and management services which cover customer requirements from full farm management to technical support. The available elements are as follows, and are detailed below:
