New Service Offerings
Centralis strength is in its services, based on an award-winning, methodology-based approach that has brought industry recognition from partners such as Citrix, VMware, Microsoft and Novell. Customer feedback is that bundled services are helpful, so this month sees the introduction of the first of a new set of services which can be taken as discrete items, as part of an ongoing consultative programme or under a framework agreement.

Strategy and Options Review

Before embarking on any business or technology driven change such as flexible or mobile working, organisations need to consider their strategy and the options available to the business, together with the associated implementation considerations and benefits, so that the best practical option can be selected.

Centralis provides an independent, unbiased, experienced perspective. Once the strategy is clear, a series of options is then presented to assist with making the right choice. Benefits in shortened evaluation, assessment and implementation are compelling.

Citrix Farm Health Check

Over time every Citrix implementation deteriorates from the day 1 gold build (unless you are using Centralis Harvester!). It is sometimes difficult to see the causes of the problems from within, or know which tools to use when, so Centralis provides assistance with the  Citrix Farm Health Check service, using specially developed advanced reporting & diagnostic tools.

Health Checks are based on the analysis, diagnosis and reporting of nearly 200 metrics in 10 key areas, checked against current best practice and extensive real world experience.

Citrix Security Assessment/Health Check

Many organisations will have deployed web access solutions that provide remote users with access to centrally-served applications, data and services. By their very nature, such implementations are required to provide a bridge between the organisation’s secure internal network and the hostile environment otherwise know as the Internet. Centralis offers a Citrix Access Security Service which examines such installations in order to identify whether the organisation is exposed to internal or external security risks as a consequence of the manner in which the installation is deployed or configured.

Citrix Infrastructure Assessment

An Infrastructure Assessment (I.A.) is a structured investigation into the suitability of a customer’s environment for the successful deployment and use of Citrix solutions. This typically involves qualifying the customer’s current infrastructure and procedures against their requirements against established best practice and design principles.

The IA concludes with a written report and presentation to the customer sponsor covering the key findings of the exercise across twelve critical technology areas, such as Security, Disaster Recovery, Systems Management and Printing.

Virtualisation Infrastructure Assessment

This consulting service gives you clear visibility of the server consolidation opportunities within your existing physical IT infrastructure. We assess your current server landscape to determine your potential costs and savings and better prepare you to roll out VMware Virtual Infrastructure.

The service is designed for companies planning server consolidation projects who need guidance on sizing requirements and justification of expenditures to facilitate consolidation via virtualisation. The service will estimate potential cost savings through server consolidation and provide an estimate of the required server hardware and VMware virtual infrastructure licenses that will be required.
