The following is a brief description of the new features and enhancements in Centralis AXE 3.

Citrix
AXE 3 introduce a new level of integration between ZENworks and Citrix MetaFrame. More information on the integration features is available here.

Local Caching for Conversions
When AXE converts an AOT file to AXT format, and vice versa, the file is now cached and processed locally. This give significant performance enhancement when processing files in remote locations.

File Splitter Routing Options
The options to split a snAppShot into 'User' and 'Redundant' files during Export can now be set in the Global Default Settings and, additionally, on a per Profile basis. This is especially useful for customers who have no requirement for 'User' splitting.

AXE Rule Tools
The Rule Tools, previously available as a separate tool, are now integrated into AXE. The tools vastly extend the ability of AXE to Import and Export Rules.

Create Application Object Wizard
The Wizard has been extended with the addition of an optional stage where Custom Folders can be specified. This allows an Object to be created with the minimum requirements in place without the need for further editing of the object.

Bug Fixes

1. Rule Description cannot be changed
   When changing a Rule description for a Move Rule the OK and Apply buttons were not enabled.
2. Long Wait when Database not available
   If the AXE database could not be located, and the location was a network location, clicking the Browse button to locate a new database initiated another long wait before the dialog appeared.
3. All Tabs Showing on Global settings when database not valid
   When the database was not valid the Global Settings dialog was loaded to allow the user to select a database but, incorrectly, all settings tabs were available.
4. Splash Screen unloads before Database checking is complete
   When verifying the database on startup, if the time taken to verify it was extended, the splash screen may unload prior to completion.
5. Incorrectly formatted Application Entries
   In Exported AXT files, Application Entries with multiple lines were not formatted correctly as the carriage return between sections was added after the first line instead of the section.

The following Hot fixes to version 2.0 of AXE are included in AXE 3:

Hot Fix 0473
Issues Resolved:
- Internal Routing Rules fixed.
- Fix to rule editing / processing.
- Fix to Global Application Settings when initially created.

Hot Fix 0467
Issues Resolved:
- eDirectory Browsing. When browsing for an object or container in eDirectory, if a container had the same name as the tree, that container could not be browsed.
- eDirectory Container Paths. Container paths were truncated to 60 characters.
- Procuct COM Class compatibility issues resolved.
