Why should I use AXE? |
 |
Using Centralis AXE to process your snapshots has
three main benefits:
Speed - in-built functions and simple rules cut the time
administrators need to turn snapshots into application objects by up to
95%.
Standards - rules database allows multiple administrators to
apply standard rules to every snapshot to improve the quality and
accuracy of application objects.
Flexibility - manage the variables needed to deploy applications
to multiple client configurations, even for "thin client"
server farms. |

 |
How does it work? |
 |
ZENworks for Desktops administrators use the
snapshot tool to create .AXT files which capture all the changes made,
eg. during an application install. Administrators must then edit the .AXT
file to remove entries which are specific to the user, client PC, or
other unwanted Settings. Centralis AXE imports
the .AXT file into a database, creating an Application Profile. This can
be edited & processed using in-built or user defined rules before
being exported in standard .AXT file format, removing the need for most
manual editing.

|
 |
Is there a license which I can use on multiple sites? |
 |
If all the sites belong to one company, the license issued to you is
valid for multiple installs. If you are installing for multiple
companies, you need a license for each. |

 |
Why does AXE cost, when Lyncx and the TCS snapin are free?
|
 |
Centralis develop software to overcome the practical problems
encountered by our consultants. Lyncx and TCS snapin are fairly small,
simple applications, but AXE is much more complex, and has required
months of development and testing resource. |
