The general commercial sector covers utility, energy, manufacturing, construction and transport.   Centralis has a very strong link with the energy/utility sector. In 1996 the company was formed by a core team responsible for completing UK-wide network architecture design, software distribution and systems management solution for both Transco and British Gas Services with a total of over 20,000 users.
 

In the UK utility and energy sector Centralis customers includes strategic work for Centrica, Thames Water, British Petroleum, BG Energy Holdings Limited, London Electric, BT and British Gas Transco.

In manufacturing and engineering, Centralis customers include NSK, Nikon, British American Tobacco, Anglo American, Mahle, Mott Macdonald, Boehringer Ingelheim, Aggreko, Twinings and Marshall Motors

Centralis has provided consultancy services companies in the transport and logistics sectors including the AA, Volvo Truck and Bus, NYK Logistics and Virgin Trains, while construction and related customers have included Crest Nicholson, RMC and McAlpine Homes.  

Centralis projects have typically focussed on the use of Citrix, allowing cost-effective, secure access to critical data from any location. Due to the nature of our customers in this sector, this has ranged from providing remote access solutions for mobile workers in the Tunisian deserts and far eastern operations, to providing centralised services for remote offices and call centres in the UK.
