Centralis Divert 1.0
Connecting centrally delivered content with locally
installed applications.
Overview
Centralis Divert has been developed for customers who are
delivering one or more applications via Citrix XenApp which contain data or
links to files which the customer wishes to re-direct to applications on the
local client device.
As an example, if a Citrix delivered system
contains a link to a Microsoft Word or similar document,
clicking on this will launch a local copy of Word which will
then open the document. This allows customers to publish fully
featured centralised systems without having to replicate all of
the applications already installed on their PC clients.
Rules-based configuration allows the
administrator to determine which content should be executed
locally, based on file association. A client install is also
needed to enable the local device, which ensures that only
authorised users can take advantage of local execution.
Security is ensured by delivering the file
name, path and any associated launch parameters to the client
via the ICA session using a virtual channel. Centralis Divert is
licensed by Citrix server.
