Centralis® Greenlight™ is built by our systems managers to give an immediate view of your application and desktop virtualisation environment, with a clear traffic light system to let you know how well it's functioning. Whatever your application and desktop delivery strategy, you need to know how well your solution is running. Your system management tools may produce reports or issue alerts, but they don't necessarily cover the simple facts you need to know as a service owner.

Centralis® Divert™ has been developed for customers who deliver applications via Citrix XenApp which contain data which the customer wishes to re-direct to applications installed on the local client device.

As an example, if a Citrix delivered system contains a link to a Microsoft Word document, clicking on this will launch a local copy of Word which will then open the document. This allows customers to publish fully featured centralised systems without having to replicate all of the applications already installed on their PC clients.

Current customers include Times Top 100 financial and utility companies, together with major public sector organisations. Across these customers Centralis Divert is used to populate email addresses from centralised systems into locally installed mail systems, to launch files using locally installed copies of Microsoft Office and to launch specific applications from highly secure and locked-down PC builds.

In Citrix environments which are available to users 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, it is often difficult for administrators to perform regular reboots of the XenApp Servers to relieve instability issues caused by application memory leaks.

Scheduled reboots are fine, but potentially one or more XenApp Servers will have users logged in, and therefore can’t be safely rebooted.

Centralis Centinel gives administrators the ability to check prior to a reboot whether users are logged into each Server. Only if there are no users logged into the Server will the reboot be performed. 

The application also allows a script to be run prior to the reboot, and also for Centinel to retry after a fixed number of times (at minute intervals) to test whether any remaining users have logged out.

Centralis® PrintHere™ is designed for organisations who want greater administrative control over their users printing or require a much simpler way of presenting a list of suitable printers to the user via simple, location-based printing.

Using the software an administrator can set up a series of defined "Locations". Centralis PrintHere allows the import of printers into "Printer Groups". One or more Printer Groups are then assigned to each Location. When a user logs in from any Location, they are shown only the printers in the Printer Groups assigned to that Location. Users can set up their own default printers by Location, giving them the right printer each time, even when roaming between multiple sites. Centralis PrintHere can also display any locally attached printers.

For users of Citrix XenApp or VDI, Centralis PrintHere will determine their Location based on the information provided by their client device, rather than their server. This allows organisations with multi-site and remote working solutions to easily provide printing access, without presenting the users with a daunting list of devices and locations to choose from.
