Citrix Provisioning Server
Citrix Provisioning Server uses streaming technology to deliver a single, standard image – including the operating system and pre-installed software – on-demand to physical or virtual machine (desktop or server) from a network share.
The shared image is configured, delivered, and updated centrally, meaning that a single image may be shared by any number of devices, but only a single copy needs to be managed, reducing total costs, increasing security and flexibility.
Particularly in virtual desktop / VDI scenarios, sharing images and delivering workloads on-demand rather than deploying them on individual machines saves valuable time and disk space.
